About Us

Robert
Daniel
From Left to Right Robert and Daniel

Incase you're thinking that you're seeing double, we are twins and yes we do get asked that almost on a daily basis. Firstly I'll introduce myself Robert, I'm on the top Right. Im currently 20 and have finished my Economics at the University of Sydney. This is my vacation before starting full time work with Linfox in 2016. My brother Daniel is on the top left and he is a Chemical Engineering student at UNSW. We both work at the Sydney Cruise Ship Terminals at OPT and White Bay, and love it. We get everyone on off the ships and get meet so many people and sometimes get to get onboard some ships too. We also volunteer as Passenger Attendants with Heritage Express. Even though we aren't paid we love to give great service and to share our love of train travel with those that take the trips. Simply we both love travelling and seeing new places.

From a vey young age I inherited a love of travel and especially a love of train travel. From as young as I can remember, I always went on days out and holidays with my family and most of all my dad. I shared the love of trains that my dad had, we'd go to the Blue Mountains, to Newcastle and more. This was in addition to many trips in Australia including the XPT down to Melbourne, school holiday trips to Port Macquarie and an overseas trip to Europe with my Grandfather. Hands down the most exciting trip I did was in 2007 on the Indian Pacific to Perth and back with my dad. I was an excited young boy sharing the excitement with my dad.

Our love of cruising started back when Daniel was booked on the Crown Princess back in 2009 to the Western Caribbean. He came home and described the holiday of a lifetime on a relatively new ship. Namely I was extremely envious because we saw cruising as a once in a lifetime experience. Such as for a honeymoon, as our parents had their honeymoon back in 1990 on the Fairstar. Ever since Daniel's cruise, we have been fascinated by them and researched about them. In recent years we've been on many cruises which we loved. All of which I am yet to write about. We both share a similar passion for travel and especially cruise and travel.

Here's a few quotes:

"Train travel is an adventure which takes you back to the days when travelling itself was the significant part of the experience, half the fun is getting there."

"I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move."
